Hi everyone
Today I am going to present my assignment to remake an artwork and add "an object" that means important to me.
I did not take long to decide to go for Audrey Kawasaki's work, as I was quite an intense fan of her for before the time I enrolled at College of Fine Art. (After that my perception to art has been bended into more conceptual aka contemporary kind of art which is the paradigm of my school. From that, I was apart from seeing the idea...and have to think too much to keep up with illustration world that I love...still love her anyways) I love Audrey's girls, love her style that enchants me with emotionless faced girls with muted colors...that's so amazing.
"Yuuwaku" is one of the most memorable master work from Audrey in my opinion. I think I saw it first and remembered it since then. The doilies transformed into the headset complementing the sensual face Geisha girl. As the title meant "alluring", yes, I definitely feel so.
The reason I put money at the back is as I really don't have "physical" object that I can't live without or feel deeply attached to (if a person, I might refer some ;) ). However, the money can connote my life as being an international student in one of the most expensive city in the world. (The rent is so fricking high...really have to complain)...Anyways, after recompositing it in photoshop, it came out perfectly matched, I did not hesistate to start painting.
The process took actually long than I thought. This is my second painting that I used "Acrylic". (I have always been using watercolor and ink color for most of my entire artist life) I put the ink line on first, then some background wash which however, made the lineart faded which I haven't anticipated. (I should have) I am not good with toning and volume and such basics. So I kept adding, erasing and on and on. Finally did details, trying to be patient as much as possible. ^^'
It was done, presented and kept forgotten. After organizing my studio space, I found this and share it online.
Hope you like it. ;)

Thanks for every nice customers at Animania 2011 at Sydney Technology Park on 17-18 September 2011.
It's nice to draw you guys, as it's challenging by limit of time and helping me develop my skill. ^_^
I would like to share some pics of people I drew.
Some of them(well, many) I forgot to take their photos.
Or some photos are very blurred (my hands are terrible with camera >_<)
So, this is all I have got that look nice.
Thanks again, hope to draw you again ;)

I am taking animation class this semester. I was quite incapable of using Flash, now, after 3 weeks of class and self-struggling, I become more proficient. I still have to learn more....

I have had 2 assignments, first one was walking: I have to take multiple shots of my face and place it onto the cartoon body prepared by the lecturer. Instead of taking photos, I draw in Illustrator.

The second one is creating 2 characters and designing how I would interact them. It is fun experimenting! (when you have limited knowledge of Flash. So googling while doing this thing.
I only have graphic pics to show you. Later I will post animated version (now I try to fix broken keyframes T_T)
Enjoy!

PS. I posted some pictures of a great worth to look at exhibition/contest called "Make Lace, Not War". The show ran by Sydney Powerhouse until (April next year). Variety of lace designs from different sources of materials could be found there. Ciick here for pics http://mori.renrengang.com/2011/07/31/ma
My First Exhibition "Multi Sensation" just finished last Sunday.Participating artists are about 29 from 20 Nationalities. Considering to my experience in art show, I think it's pretty big group. The opening night went smoothly, I had pretty good time :) Also, the show gave me a chance to meet people who like my art. What a pleasure! The next exhibition from the same group will be on 13 November 2011! Keep in touch!
I think it's time to go back and blog more about manga stuff (which I struggle to produce work).

Cheers!

My busy life is not as different as the study period. I am occupied myself with holiday plan (work-I mean). Plus I am having my first group exhibition coming in a week! (6th - 17th July) And my first participation in my first manga convention in Sydney, Smash 2011! I am excited for all events coming! (*^_^*)
Anyways, today I want to share a project I have done in school. This class, Composition & Design, is a tough class, however I learnt a lot different things, things that basically are not me AT ALL. LOL. The project I pick to talk here today is quite manga influenced (therefore), and it is from my original characters Mia and Mar.
Even the assigned task to learn is about high key, low key and contrasting tone, I never know (or realize) that the aim is about tone. How funny I was! Until the semester is done and I look back. At that time I only want to draw some manga characters or only focus on how to put my familiar style into school assignment.
So for the tone project as I said, I had to paint 3 pictures in high key, low key and contrasting tone. They have to be relevant by the same theme. My first thought about the idea was, combing my favorite M.C.Escher's picture to represent the multidimensional fantasy world with my characters who seem lost, seperated from each other by frame but eventually making themselves connected to each other again in the last picture.
These are what I did for the first two.

Sorry for the unsatisfactory image quality ~~(╯﹏╰)b , but iPhone camera is the best one I could find at that time (or all the time...as it is with me :) ). The high key is very light and difficult to see the details. The low key one looks a bit better in the original work.
And then the final picture:

The last picture however is not a last progress. I was too sick ~~~~~(m--)m of this project (and the subject), so as soon as they got assessed, I wrapped them in brown paper and hid it somewhere...that I could not remember now. >_<
But yes, I like the concept of this project. <3

I would end this entry with my fan picture...it costs AU$159.
(everybody said I am stupid buying this thing)

I like the city overall, the average degree is about mid 20, plus with the wind and dry air. The weather allow me to wear whatever I want without getting sweated. Yeah!!~ XD
But living cost here is quite expensive here for me as a Thai. The shops close at 6, it is annoying when I want to buy groceries after that.
I have made some friends, it's nice to meet new people, but found my hard to understand Australian accent. :(
My course at COFA has started, I have been given 2 assignments to be done next week. I will show you guys in the near future.
Love XOXO
